On Monday, April 6, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. Planning Commissi=
on Chairperson
Tom Braun called the Regular Monthly Planning Commission Meeting to order. =
Other
members present were Carl Sanford, Larry Ziebarth, and Town Board liaison J=
ohn
Roxbury, Jr.
A motion was made by Larry Ziebarth and seconded by Mark
Riverblood to approve the minutes of March 2, 2009 as printed. Mr. Riverblo=
od
also wanted to commend Mr. Ziebarth on the copious amount of work that was =
done
on the Comprehensive Plan. There was a strong consensus by all the members
regarding the great progress that had been made. Motion Carried.
Chairperson Braun noted that there would be an addition =
to
the agenda to include the appointment of Chair and Vice Chair. John Roxbury,
Jr. motioned to amend the agenda to reflect the appointments. Mark Riverblo=
od
seconded the motion. Larry Ziebarth asked to wait a minute. He wanted to kn=
ow
why Mr. Riverblood was able to second the motion. Tom Braun stated because =
he
said so and we (the Planning Commission) invited him. Chairperson Braun ask=
ed
Mr. Ziebarth if he would like to second the motion. Larry Ziebarth stated t=
hat
no, he would not, because he opposes it. He thinks that they should wait un=
til
they get the two new Planning Commission members appointed. Mr. Braun asked=
if
that was going to make a difference. Larry stated yes because right now, he=
was
outnumbered. John Roxbury stated that the probability of the Planning
Commission making any new member chair or vice chair is rather remote. Larry
Ziebarth stated that as long as they keep the chair and vice chair the same=
as
they are now, he did not have a problem with it. Larry Ziebarth seconded the
motion. Motion Carried.
The next item on the agenda was to discuss the Comprehen=
sive
Plan. Larry Ziebarth presented the second half of his proposed Comprehensiv=
e Plan.
The Planning Commission reviewed the corrected information from last
months’ meeting and also discussed the new information. Larry Ziebarth
stated that he will be making more corrections and including some additional
information from other members for review at next months’ Planning
Commission meeting. The Planning Commission feels that they are progressing=
at
a good speed thanks to all of the hard work from Larry. They feel they shou=
ld
be able to have a draft to submit to the Town Board very soon.
The next item up for discussion was to appoint a chair a=
nd
vice chair. Larry Ziebarth motioned to keep Tom Braun as the Chair and Carl
Sanford as the Vice Chair. John Roxbury seconded the motion. Motion Carried=
.
The next item on the agenda was Open Forum. There were no
residents who wished to speak.
A motion was made by Carl Sanford and seconded by Larry
Ziebarth to adjourn the meeting at 9:21 p.m. Motion Carried.
